Day 10 Furby's Cove
Today was a lazy day. It started cloudy and cool and everyone more or less slept in a bit. This was okay because Arnie and Rita were having a jet lag day and we have fallen into a relaxed vacation mode. Then Rita spoiled us by cooking up a big bacon and egg breakfast
This was followed by a lot of conversation and a walk out to the road of course. Today the wind was coming from the opposite direction, and instead of helping us up the hills and supporting us o the way down, we had to fight it on the way up and hold back from letting it push us downwards.
After lunch, I regret to say that it became a television day for Arnie and me, while Joanne and Rita did get in a game of scrabble. Towards mid-afternoon we decided to make another trip into the cemetery and managed to find and clear four more headstones from their weedy overgrowth.
Later it was a tea and cookie snacks while Karl of course had a great mini-feast of scallops. Followed by some more TV (due to the cloudy day), Rita (with a little help from Joanne) whipped up a great supper of pork chops and a big selection of veggies freshly picked from Rita's garden. MMmmmmmm!
The rain started right about then so after supper it was another round of TV while the girls played Scrabble again. The Fitbits had a bit of a rest today as the daily walkaround of the village and the second walk to the highway simply didn't happen
Perhaps tomorrow the sun will show again and we can snap back into action!
